Many years ago I was invited to travel to another city to conduct a consecration ceremony for a new Leizang Temple.  This temple had been built with funding contributed by many fellow students.
Two days before the trip, while playing basketball, I was running to pick up the ball when my left foot landed right at the juncture where the concrete border of the basketball court meets the soil. My left toes hit the soil while my rear foot hit concrete.
I sprained my left foot, resulting in an injury of tendons and bones that lasted one hundred days. I became Grand Master Lu with a lame leg.
  This was my first premonition.
Although I was limping on one leg, I went ahead and attended the consecration and opening ceremony of that Leizang Temple, without deviating from my planned itinerary.
Following the Eye Opening Ceremony and Enlivening of the Statues, I was to give a dharma teaching from a special “Dharma King Treasure Seat.” The two armrests of this chair had been sculptured into dragon heads with protruding copper wires representing whiskers of the dragons.
After ascending to this chair, I sat down and placed my hands on the arm rests and inadvertently scraped my arm against the copper wires. I felt a stinging pain and immediately raised my arm to look. A small reddened abrasion appeared on my arm, oozing a few drops of blood.
Wow! This was causing the body of a Buddha to bleed.
I swallowed the pain and did not mention it as I continued with the dharma teaching. Yet, I felt that this was another omen.
  This was my second premonition.
I sustained injury to my foot and arm during my trip to this Leizang Temple.

Soon afterwards, I entered into meditation and saw the residential master, the abbot of the Leizang Temple mentioned above, standing above my head.
